"Let me know if that estimate held true will you, in 30-40 years."

Going into the third decade next year.

The financing was possible because of the special Danish tax and support rules used to encourage wind mill production and innovation. These rules have been stopped now because the industry is far more mature today. But those who got in early are reaping the benefits. Max investment was around $18,000. Which was mandated by law to prevent exploitation and to get the "common" man to invest. Funny thing was that the farmers and factory workers invested heavily, while white collar workers were sceptical. My wife and I went in for $6,000 each in 2 mills. Wish I had put $18,000 in.

If Methane Hydrates can be "mined" then I,m sure someone will figure out how to burn them.

"But right now, mass transit doesn't make sense...."
Does in cities, not in large countries that are used to autos. My comments were based on $100 oil and a decline in oil production(between 3($100 oil) and 30 years(1/5 resent production) down the road), not on present day scenarios.
