I think most of you guys make mistakes by looking at dailies and labeling them as they seem. You have the move down from the Nov. 04 top as an abc. I have it as a '5'. Here is my take. Hence I do not have a complex correction for the segment from the '03 top as you do. I have a 335 from that top. Thus it has to be connected to something previous. I labeled a couple of time fibs as well. The 5th wave ended short of a 55 day time fib by a few days. It wanted to end early. ttrader.com I think if you start from the bottom with the hourlies and go thru the details you will find other unexplainable problems with your count. The '03 move that almost everyone counts as a 5th wave impulse with trend is not an impulse with trend. At least one wave in an impulse with trend, regardless of degree, must extend and dominate. What you see in that impulse is 3 equal waves, with no domination, classical of an impulse as part of a correction. If you go thru all the details I believe you come up with this.ttrader.com You can see that all the impulses with trend have inherent power, and pull away from the bottom of their 1 to 2 trendlines, as they move up. This is what an impulse with trend should do. People are continually moved incorrectly by their lack of knowledge and emotions, and think that just because price moves up it must be an impulse with trend. Not so, there are litmus test rules that must be applied. In edit. I have an alternate for the last segment I think may be more correct, for that segment.ttrader.com I am fiddling with time fibs, and right now looking for an end to this first leg of the 3 up about the end of year. The vth wave of this leg appears to be extending, as one wave of this impulse must do.
