They really outdid themselves with this hoax. Some parties in the CIA attempt to pretend they are an autonomous agency. They are quasi-autonomous, giving them some latitude, however anything greater approaches rogue status and that cannot be tolerated. Especially when this matter is actually an internal political aberration. Although some details have overseas undertones, the actual issue is an apparent internal struggle with overt rogue-like characteristics of some agency people that effectively work for the administration. It can be hashed out rather easily without hampering the effectiveness of the agency. In fact when issues like this arise it is better for the effectiveness of the unit that the problem is identified, isolated, scrutinized and eliminated. This is human nature that allows some agencies, groups or units with special responsibilities to see themselves above all others. They begin to confuse their own personal interests with the mission they are mandated. It happens in agencies, corporations, organizations, even families. Their is always one or a group that believes they are greater than the whole. People have focused on what the media decided is the problem, but the media has the exact same problems. The truth always comes out and is nearly always quite different from the subjective speculation and conjecture of fatheaded reporters and pundits. Of course when all is said and done, the fatheaded politicians, reporters and pundits will proclaim they suspected the same all along. People are a messy self aggrandizing lot.! lol I suppose that is the point here.
