Well by that time ep I think they were pretty French... The Norse component was fairly assimilated already .... Plantangenets etc... The overwhelming Viking influence in England was pretty well direct ... see Danelaw for example...

BTW England is an utterly fascinating place if you like history.. In my book only China can compete... but I haven't been everywhere by a longshot... just seeing all of Canada is taxing... I imagine the US is no different..

Norman invasion of 1066.? That's the one! Losing Hastings Battle was a blessing to England! Thanks to this invasion the English language less its stupidity. Is this type of contact that makes a difference!
