WEll, as Michael Cummings, who has known me for many years, can attest, I am an indiscriminate chard drinker. Last night it was Clos du Bois. That was a very kind post-- thank you, although I am sure many would think "fresh air- Ha. Hot air is more like it". There ARE a lot of really knowledgeable (sometimes intimidating) people here and elsewhere on SI, and Lindy posts a great assortment of articles. In fact, people here are so immersed in politics that I think sometimes they forget that the normal person (even an educated, well-read one) often knows nothing about a lot of this stuff---- and doesn't really feel a need to know minutiae, but tries for a more holistic view. I've been at dinner parties where a name will come up- like Libby, or Plame- and people go blank. Maybe my role can be that of Sort of Normal Person. "Hey, you guys! Down here! Speak in simple sentences!"
