I doubt you will understand the meaning of the following but give it a try anyway.

Those who say that we should not link Islam to terrorism because no one spoke of the IRA as “Catholic terrorists” are being illogical. The IRA never claimed to commit their acts of terrorism on behalf of the Catholic Church. Nationalism, not religion, was their driving force.

When Christians kill folks over religion, I will fairly call it terrorism, stupid, inhumane, etc., whatever you choose along those lines. Whatever it is you would wish explain about 9/11, one can only hope you are willing to call it reprehensible, regardless the beliefs of those who committed it. That's fair, IMHO.
