Online advertising sales and placement, search, software integration...these are IT business services. Email and storage are IT services. All of these services are planned and engineered by Google...and so is software it gives away. That's high tech.

You're stretching to get GOOG into the "tech" area, and it really doesn't matter. I stand by my point that tremendous growth in GOOG (where 99% of the growth is internet advertising dollars) will not "light up" the technology sector. None of the things you listed above really drives a significant increase in PC, cell phone or software sales (and those things are classic tech).
