I grew up learning to ski at buck hill. Joined ski club in 5th grade and had a seasons pass within a few years. We used to run off into the woods where the old t-bar was and kiss girls. Ah, nostalgia. They had a deal last year where you could ski from 10am until noon on weekdays for 10 bux. On one particular day early in the season they had 4+ inches of freshies, and so I decided to pay a visit. It was fun, lots of memories rekindled. Getting booted at 12 o'clock was okay... after a few hours, I was sufficiently bored. Wound up being interviewed that day by a Star and Tribune reporter doing a feature on winter sports.... he asked why my skis were so fat.... I said because they're not for skiing in Minnesota. <g>
