Chinu, you are grasping for straws. What a stupid attempt at an argument.

You are ridiculous if you believe you are presenting an argument.

I would wait to see if any of Bush's daughters enroll and go to Iraq. None from Cheney's household is enlisted. And only one from the entire House has his kid in the military in Iraq. I do not have anyone in Iraq but I would be the last one to speak out against a grieving mother. I would wait patiently to let her grievance wear itself out.

Do you have any one of your dear ones who is in Iraq? Do you have any of your dear ones lost in battle that is senseless and meaningless?

Chin, you're WAY off base here. Even during WW2 there were those who held the same position as you do today about the Iraq war. That all who died in that war did so because of FDR imperialism and that WW2 was completely and utterly senseless and meaningless. I think history has proved them wrong when taken with the facts that both Germany and Japan owe their prosperity today directly to US treatment after the war.

Sounds good, sounds like a humane plea but the whole premise is completely wrong.

They would have painted FDR with the same brush that you're painting Bush and Cheney. Would anyone in their right mind think that WW2 was senseless and meaningless today?? I don't think so. There are many direct correlations that can be made between the 2 wars.

The rest of your post has no baring on the topic and is clouding the issue. Liberals have taken the tact that if you haven't either been in or have loved ones in the war then you've no right to either support it or comment on it. This is utter nonsense and only serves as a dialog block.

Chinu, First of all, the war in Iraq,is not senseless, and meaningless. The United States is the only country that cares about the areas in the world that are ruled by murdering tyrants. Do you applause the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens that were killed by that maniac? Do you care about the children of Iraq who were doomed to a life of fear from such a leader? Evidently, you don't.

You keep dodging the fact that this adult, brave, soldier, was willing to make a change in such a country, and even reenlisted when his government did not ask, or make, him do so. Would you rather that the Mothers of America ruled the household to the extent that the young men are not allowed to do as they feel fit? It seems that you would rather that the men of America were cowards, hiding behind their mother's apron.

Yes, I have a family member in Iraq, and he is dedicated to his duty, and to the independence of Iraq and any other country ruled by tyranny. His entire family is very proud of him.

Your paragraph about the children of the White House, and Congress, is so inane it is not worth even responding to.

You have no one in Iraq, and an educated guess would be that you never served in the armed forces, and did your part to defend the American way, so you are not qualified to make a judgement, or complaint. You're just a disgruntled person that has no purpose in life but to save your sorry ass. In other words a POS.

She's not grieving for her son. She is using it to make a buck, and for no other reason. She's a camera hog. She did not respect her Son, or she would have honored his wish to be a soldier, and fight for his country. He didn't have to go. There is no draft. But he is a better man than you can ever hope to be.
