What does that sentence mean?

On the education thing: it is early in the process, but similar things were said about computers in education - heck, similar things were said about calculators in math education.

If it is a bad thing for students to be able to listen to a lecture multiple times on their own schedule, if it is a bad thing for students to be able to view images on a portable player - then it may be a bad thing.

It does not have to be central to education in order for it to be a useful tool.

We will be able to watch how it works out over the next years. Maybe someday there will be a holodeck and people can argue about how that is not central to learning.
