RE: "a family almost put me in the family van "

Too funny. Sounds like the midwest - we had a little girl once try to come home with us. She just marched over and confidently acted like she belonged, her teddy bear firmly clenched in her hands in a rather determined way, and was about to climb into the vehicle until one of my sisters noticed her. She had no siblings so wanted to join our large group. Her mother said she slipped away from her when she was putting her purchases in the trunk. My sister invited both her mother and the little girl over for dinner. This can only happen in the midwest.
