No, I didn't. The Sunni terrorists have been killing Shia for months now. I don't think they will be playing nice with them once they get unrestricted control.

The civil war has been going on for months now. When they start blowing up mosques, it is serious. It is at a low level because we have 150,000 troops in country and that makes them keep a low profile. But they won't keep doing that forever.

The likely victors, the Shiites, are not going to be real tolerant of Sunni terrorists.
Further up from that post, you say that precisely that will happen.

And THAT would be the outcome of an election. A civil war? That's a lot more dicey.

The civil war has been going on for months......but its been real low key. The Shia have their own militias that go after the Sunnis. We don't hear much about that part of the war........you need to read the non American press to find out more. Bush's fear is that if we step out, the Shia and Sunnis will go full bore........and he is right. Its a thousand year feud coming to fruition now. Shia and Sunnis hate each other as much as the N. Ireland Catholics and Protestants.

It was Saddam's dictatorial control that kept the two groups in check.
