My high school term paper in history was on the premise that FDR knew about the attack. Unfortunately, I found little evidence to support such a claim. :)

Ever wonder why MacArthur didn't attack the Japanese planes in Formosa from Clark even after he heard about Pearl Harbor? His entire air force was wiped out some hours AFTER he heard news of the attack. I think incompetence ran deep in our military at the beginning of the war.
