Then do what I do. Every year, about this thyme I fake my death to avoid some relatives. Plus the flowers are plentiful at the processions. I bring them home and sell them to my neighbors. I am just here to help and aid my friends as you.

Hey Fish! I have news for you. The people, the season, the expectations, the pain in the ass--EVERYTHING you experience is YOUR reactivity. It may be triggered by Aunt Minnie, your wife, "the Holiday Season", the orgy of buying or whatever, but WHAT YOU EXPERIENCE is YOUR REACTION TO IT. If you take responsibility for that, then you can start taking responsibility for your LIFE, and how it plays out. If you don't want to see "Aunt Minnie" when she comes, say "Hello" when she arrives and go and attend the Flat Earth Society meeting (or something). Your choice. You are stuck in your reactivity and pissing away your freedom of choice and being resentful about it. It's YOUR reactivity, YOUR freedom of choice, and YOUR resentment.
