I don't want to "finish off the press." I want the "responsible" press to be just that...."responsible". If they have a columnist of whatever opinion, have that person on the op-ed pages. If they have a reporter that insists on having a by-line, have a special section for by-line info. If they change their current format, perhaps a front page would be very scant on rhetoric, but instead, just bare bones news. No adjectives, no adverbs. Just the facts, mam' as Sgt. Friday used to say. I would repurchase a subscription of both the SeattleTimes and the NYT IF there was a complete redo of the way they are currently putting together their propaganda sheets. We need to have NEWSpapers. What a refreshing idea....
