I have a very different view on how we should handle welfare. First off, I truly believe that anyone born in USA has a right to a roof over their head, clothes on their back and food in their belly. (I am not interested in any Calcutta scenes here). However, that is ALL I believe they are entitled to. If I could have my way I would round them all up, put them in NICE barracks, well appointed and well looked after. I would FORCE everyone their to continue their education. Children school, adults either school or trade school dependent upon their aptitude. I think it does NO GOOD to just throw money at them and let them decide for themselves how it should be spent. Before any of you think I am too mean, many of us who were servicemen lived in Barracks under almost exactly the same conditions. Didnt hurt us and wouldnt hurt them. jdn
