I Took the time to go quite a long way back and re-read the thread of the conversation. I misunderstood what you said and thought you were taking the position that Bush and his administration lied. I found that was not the case at all, and I'm sorry I wasn't more thorough. I really shouldn't have jumped in without doing my due diligence.

I don't mean to make this personal but you seem to have some interesting insight, and I do respect your ability to parse language and its meaning. That is why I was asking you to give it your best shot and try to explain the rational, if that is what it can be called, behind the belief that the President misinformed the American public about the war in Iraq. I just am not able to put my arms around what someone might mean when they make damaging statements of this nature. This left wing attack has been going on long enough, and there doesn't seem to be any willingness on the part of these critics to offer up any concrete information to back up what they say (the exception being Levin on FOX yesterday, and even that is very weak.) As I said in my last post....without proof positive that this administration lied, misled etc...this conversation has gone on long enough imo. I think the American public has only so much patience for following a dead issue.

And contrary to what you might believe...I really am all ears and would be glad to listen to anything you have to say, but I must admit I am quite angry at the continuing insistence on the part of liberals who say this or that without a modicum of proof, and I unfairly took it out on you...I'm sorry. I will try to devote more attention to the issue next time.

;) M
