True. But on XBox 360 there are 3 CPU cores, each of which can handle 2 threads, being a 2-way SMT machine. It will be awhile before AMD can pack 6 or more cores on a chip. And the earliest they can do SMT is when the Son of K8 appears. Which is a 2007 thing at the earliest.

Besides, consoles are different. The Sony PS3 is supposed to use Cell. And Cell is even harder to deal with than a tri-core, 2-way PPC.
