I know what you mean, and it breaks my heart that the freedom they won has made our people behave as they do now (not that there weren't isolationists interfering in both World Wars).

My Dad was in the Marines before the war started, so after it started he was ordered to be a recruiter, and boy did he fill the bill! He was sharp, the perfect image of a Marine. Young men beat a path to his office, and the ones he turned down had to go over to the Army.
