Sorry I'm kinda busy today... gotta run. Try Google, or New Scientist magazine online (they ran a piece on it last year... but it was covered in major media all over the place). There is a group of religious scholars/linguists in Germany who made new translations of the original Koranic source texts (from Aramaic, this was before the Arabic language was codified). They discovered the 'virgin' mistranslation (from when the texts made it into early Arabic), and published it on the Web --- but had to publish through third parties, and keep the names of the researchers secret because of the flood of death threats they received. The project is ongoing --- ultimately the entire Koran will be rendered in a more accurate translation. Quite fascinating!
