Sorry I'm kinda busy today... gotta run.

Try Google, or New Scientist magazine online (they ran a piece on it last year... but it was covered in major media all over the place).

There is a group of religious scholars/linguists in Germany who made new translations of the original Koranic source texts (from Aramaic, this was *before* the Arabic language was codified).

They discovered the 'virgin' mistranslation (from when the texts made it into early Arabic), and published it on the Web --- but had to publish through third parties, and keep the names of the researchers secret because of the flood of death threats they received.

The project is ongoing --- ultimately the entire Koran will be rendered in a more accurate translation.

Quite fascinating!
