Russ, spec. spreads as measured by S&P have not confirmed the rally from mid-October. Spreads actually expanded more than 13 basis pts despite the flagpole we have had in stocks. This isn't going to last till Christmas as many assume. The strength in treasuries was not matched by the junk. Somebody is getting cautious despite the "get long something" rally.

Junk Spreads:
Oct 12, 2005: 378.2 (Nasdaq Bottom)
Nov 23, 2005: 391.8
