We can "buy" more enemy attrition with each US soldier's death.

I read something earlier about that notion today--only the flip side. The piece was talking about the terrorists being desperate. They don't have a lot of guys so they use suicide bombs as a conscious strategy because it only costs them one compared to many on the other side. I looked back into my history but I can't find where I saw that.
