Utter baloney you war profiteer. Just because you wish to make a buck on the misery of war doesn't make it JUST because it is not.

So let's see.. Anyone that is being paid to provide services in support of US governmental policy is a "war profiteer"?

Do you include Military Servicemen in that statement? Afterall, don't they receive Tax Exemption for the period that they serve in Iraq (even the pilots and Generals who seem to coordinate their trips there for the end of the month so that they can establish at least one day in both months and receive tax exemption for both)?

Are you a government employee (City, State, Federal)? Or do you know someone who is? Do you tell them that they are "profiteers" because they receive tax dollars as payments for services rendered?

Methinks you should ponder the full implications of your shameful statement...

Either that, of the next time you think about calling the police because you've been robbed or threatened, remember that also fall under you definition of "profiteer".

I work a hell of lot of hours (generally 105-110 hours per week) away from my friends and family. I also face occasional personal risk from rockets and mortars. Most people in the states work a mere 40 hours per week. My base salary (40 hours) is about GS-12 level.

That's not generally considered in the realm of "profiteering".

Now if wish to discuss profiteering, then discuss certain companies who contract to provide meals at around $30/meal, but provide poorer quality food than I could obtain at a Burger King or Pizza Hut (and at a better price). I wish the government would provide me a "per diem" so I could go to the local BK or PH concessions on our base. It would save the American Taxpayer a TREMENDOUS amount of money, and apply competive pressures on the food logistics contractors.
