"Granholm Holds Huge Lead Over DeVos

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm (D) leads her likely Republican challenger in 2006, businessman Dick DeVos, by 23 points, according to a recent EPIC/MRA poll. Granholm received support from 58% of the poll’s respondents, while 35% supported DeVos.

Feinstein Loses Only Challenger

Bill Mundell (R), "the only Republican making serious preparations to challenge” Sen. Dianne Feinstein's (D-CA), said "he has decided not to run, leaving the GOP with no clear contender for one of California's top races for 2006,” reports the Los Angeles Times. Mundell’s decision “reflects the difficulty Republicans face in finding a strong candidate to challenge the popular Democratic incumbent.”
