Hello Dale,

I believe that most of the 9/11 comments were stricken from the record by the court. That's why they're not abundant in the transcripts. At least that's what I believe, no proof...

Dale, it isn't wishful thinking on my part, just my opinion based on what I have read here. Like I said, I have no idea if they are going to appeal on those grounds or not. Nor do I really care other than as an interested observer to the long-running saga, as I assume you and many others also are.

As far as the number of federal criminal convictions overturned on appeal, you are probably correct that few are overturned on appeal. That could also be because post-conviction sentencing deals are often cut containing stipulations which preclude the ability to appeal.

Does anyone know if the judge has accepted the jury's verdicts? For that matter, can a federal judge even choose to discard a jury verdict?
