Sounds like you didn't really read Tejek's posts
He changed the subject from a resevoir in Eastern Washington to the worst aspects of forest policy. There is no defense for the violations.

Why would Joe Public want the Tongass Wilderness logged?
I talked about Washington I-90 and tejek expanded it to Oregon. As for Tongass, the forest service and the native peoples cleared every acre they could. Under the l971 Native Claims Act, native corporations received nearly 500,000 acres of Tongass forest. Unregulated and eager to profit from their lands, they harvested virtually every acre. By the end of the decade they had cut as much old-growth timber as the Forest Service. fseee.org

And you seem to be supporting them.

No - I support the forest products industry and government to create renewable, self sustaining tree farms to meet our needs. If anything we don't charge the farmers enough for the leases and we need to hold them accountable for any damages or violations they make.
