Yeah Boulder is a thought. Not crazy about those 5 months of below freezing temps at night but if it gets to near 60 degrees and sunny during the day even in Jan or Feb that sure makes it very comfortable during the day. Not like those gloomy gray winters I grew up with in the northeast..

Can't beat Las Cruces and Albuquerque in NM. Much better year round climate than Vegas and Phoenix at a fraction of the cost.

In Europe the French and Italian Riviera are close to replicating Santa Barbara which would be my personal ideal climate.
