<they're eating your economic lunch LOL.>

No they aren't Geode. They are working for me and buying my CDMA and making me cheap stuff which is getting better in quality.

I'm thrilled that China has dumped the Maoistic maelstrom and has joined the rest of the world in economic activity.

236,000 millionaires? I wonder how that compares with the USA, which has quarter the population. Or Japan, with a tenth.

Oh, there's my answer, in your post: <the number of HNWIs in China is still relatively small when compared to the United States, which was home to 2.272 million HNWIs in 2003."
> 10 times as many in the USA, which has quarter the population. That means 40 times as many per capita.

< Chinese per capita gdp is about 1/10th that of Mexico's.> Wow, that's MUCH lower. I'd have guessed about quarter.

<I doubt China has a very good census so we are indeed a rounding error. > I agree, those Chinese have a lot of trouble counting. It's cold, so they wear gloves and shoes so without fingers and toes, get confused when it gets to counting over 20. Plus they do it in Mandarin, so that no doubt makes counting tricky. Not to mention those hutongs are crowded and confusing.

< tell ya, the Chinese are merchants and capitalists and they'll eat your lunch>

Capitalism primarily means control of private property by the people owning it, plus a high degree of personal freedom. China has never been capitalist. It has always been a realm of absolute rule by emperors, warlords etc. Genghis Khan didn't win an election you know.

I hope they buy their own lunch and don't eat mine. I hope they get a job and sell good stuff and buy their own. I've got a "Help wanted" sign outside the CDMA factory.
