I think your advice is well understood by the Republican crooks.

When and if more crooks surface, however, you will most likely be treated to the spectacle of the least competent.

The more competent, I am sure use offshore resting places for funds and leave little or no trace. This has been going on for so long that it has achieved a degree of competence and sophistication that would (if we knew) take our breath away.

Tom Delay has had others do his work. And they have moved funds all over the place, dropping off little bits all along the way.
And maybe Abramoff will go down in flames, but in the end he's just a hired hand. And only ONE of a whole INDUSTRY.

The smartest people of the lot have distanced themselves very well from any money trail and can confidently expect to live profitably ever after. The best among them probably have specialized in Military work, knowing that there will be NO enthusiasm on anybody's part for opening up that can of worms.

At the end of the day, IF everything were known, WHICH IT NEVER WILL BE, the American Military budget would be seen as the greatest ongoing criminal fraud ever perpetrated by any group of crooks from time immemorial.

So many feast at that trough that tracking them is like trying to identify individual microbes by name. VERY TOUGH.

Namaste!

Jim

"Do the Billy Tauzin thing. Get the deeds done AND THEN take the $2 million/year bribe, er, job."

This method that corporations use to control government to enrich themselves is much more distrubing than what Cunningham did, as it's completely legal. You can catch some of the Cunninghams. Dick Cheney is using it right now, as shadow PRESIDENT.
