"Islamic Fundamentalism and democracy don't go hand in hand."

Prior to the great experiment, Christianity and Democracy did not go hand in hand either. America was the first major country to eschew monarchy. Heck, George Washington refused to be appointed king. People seem to assume that because a set of people are rooted in the status quo in which they have the ability to wield undo influence their culture is not compatible with Democracy.

Islamic rule has been nearly synonymous with Kleptocracy up to this point in time.

Bush needs to launch a diplomatic offensive to convince nations like Germany, France, Spain, India, Egypt and Russia to come together to fight to keep Iraq terrorist free.

"You're still not getting it. All of these countries are having problems INTERNALLY with the large populations of muslims they have. The last thing any of them want to do is to enrage their OWN populations of muslims by aiding the US in any way shape or form."

Well, yeah. That is obvious to the alert observer.

Democrat Senator Lieberman noted that in apublic opinion polls wthin Iraq 82% believe their lives will be better a year from now. This is overwhelming support for the thesis that the WOT is being won in Iraq.

Subject Liberals will want to try to spin this as a negative, or more likely ignore it and hope it will go away.

All you need do is to look at Spain, an erstwhile coalition partner of ours in this venture.

To validate your line of reasoning, let us also not forget to look at France. They did not side with the US but they ended up having riots anyway. That does not look like a validation of your assumptions on Spain.
