Hawk,

You stated........

Noel, there are currently over 50 members of the Coalition in Iraq.

There are only 26 other member nations IN Iraq....that was the error I was pointing out.

Either way, it's hardly "unilateral" so my point continues to stand.

Theoretically its multilateral but when you consider that the US is supplying ~ 85% of the forces and all of the casualties, the words "token coalition" come to my mind. How much are Bosnia, Macedonia and Estonia receiving in $$$ for supplying 35 guys a piece to the conflict?!? And yes, you can call me cynical all you want but that's what it all comes down to.......$$$$$$$$.

And sure, I would like to see more French, German, Russian, and Chinese support, but that's THEIR problem, not mine.
They have their own political and economic agendas..

Thats not THEIR problem.....its actually OUR problem! Hindsight again is a beautiful thing but don't you think that those nations' skepticism of our pre-war intelligence was somewhat justified?!? The Germans were shocked that we used this Curveball character's "intel" when they had already proven it false long before it was presented to the UN as evidence!

But one would think that, despite their opposition to overthrowing Saddam, they would set aside their differences and be willing to be part of the overall nation-building effort, if only to establish positive relations with the developing Iraqi government.

Haven't you forgotten that Halliburton, Bechtel and KBR basically got all the no bid contracts for the nation-building?? Those other nations are just going to sit back and watch us dish out mega $$$$$$$$$$......unfortunate as it is but this admins. policies have created it and now they're "stuck in a moment and they can't get out of it".

MON.
