Yep, non-binding,but a pretty good reflection of our standing in the world.

Or is it a reflection of the current pathetic stance of the world?

Again.. here is a vote aimed at EMPOWERING FIDEL CASTRO'S continue grip on power and making his out to be some kind of "victim".

Sorry.. People have a right to hold their f***ed up principles.

They also have the right to bear the consequences of them.

I personally don't see a problem with having an economic embargo against Cuba. We had one against South Africa because of their apartheid stance (which the Europeans handlily used to advance their own economic interests there).

What I would like to see, is a greater effort towards engaging in enabing non-violent resistance movesments in Cuba that might result in a popular overthrow of Fidel.

After 40 years in power, he's had a considerable amount of time to brainwash his population into believing that the current stagnation of their economy is due to "big bad US" and not his own corruption and nepotism.

Think about it logically.. The US is the only country of consequence that has an embargo against Cuba. One would think the Cuban economy would be booming given the opportunities for our international competitors to take advantage of our embargo the way they did with South Africa.

But it's NOT.. Hmmm....
