Jeffery, in my younger years I may have agreed with you but in spite of some top notch full caliber people out there in this world who know what they are doing, I have seen too many instances of pure ineptness in so many fields, that I fail to believe that the 9/11 financial investigation team didn't have it's share of bumbling idiots. Perhaps enough to indirectly help come up with wrong conclusions. I doubt Osama issued direct orders to short the market. Rather it most likely was a series of informal thoughts and certain individuals who told a friend who told a relative, etc..Whatever..leading to what I previously described. Greed is a powerful thing as we all know and secret greed is even bigger. After all, remember all the "strange trades" (puts on airlines, etc) , that were the talk of the town after 9/11? Where are the conclusions to those trades? The only thing I saw was a global statement saying there were no foreknowledge trades. Where are the specific conclusions to those trades? Jeffery, why did the market tank for 4 straight days prior to 9/11? Usually you can go back to any down or up period and there are themes that are clear, especially after those periods, as to why the market reacted that way. What was the theme to the market and the airline stocks during that time period of 9/5 9/6/, 9/7, and 9/10?
