At six weeks, there is no child. The first signs of what distinguished humans from animal embryos isn't visible and doesn't exist until about 5 months, I believe. That's when you have a tiny curled up foetal shape in its beginning stages. Maybe the size of a fist. That's when it gets unethical and ridiculous to abort. At 6 weeks it's just a mass of replicating cells. At 6 days it's almost nothing.

You should study biology and medicine before you jump to wild conclusions about "unborn children". Literally speaking there are no "unborn children" until they are fully formed fetuses which is about 7 months along.

We can all agree that late-term abortions are unethical. But the religious right only uses that as an easy wedge issue, like flag-burning, daring womens rights proponents to vote against it so they can demonize them as "murderers" and raise more $$$$$ on it using very rare photos of large fetuses which have been terminated. PETA does the same thing with their disgusting vivisected lab animal photos.

99% of abortions are well before the beginnings of the human characteristic stage. And with RU486 almost all abortions can be eliminated the morning after the sperm meets the egg.

You still haven't told me why it's alright to kill a six week old unborn child but not a six month old unborn child.

That's easy, even using your loaded terminology.

The law says its legal to kill a 6 week old unborn child, but not legal to kill the 6 month old unborn child.

If you are asking a question about morality, that's an individual's decision, and not a legal decision.
