re: "Perhaps it makes Iraq worse BUT.... Not as worse as if we stay."

I strongly disagree. There is a big different between the military not being able to do any more and the military pulling out. If we leave then civil war will ensue. Iraq could easily turn into another Afghanistan, forcing us to go back in 5-10 years from now. There is also another issue here that no one wants to talk about. Many Iraqis have put their lives, and the lives of their families, on the line to help set up a new government. Almost every successful raid we have is the result of an Iraqi citizen tip. Remember how no one was willing to help us for a long time...and we got nowhere? They know what we did in Vietnam and didn't want to risk their lives for a military that was going to cut and run, leaving them helpless. They even said as much publicly for the first year. Part of the problem in Iraq is the result of Vietnam. If we do it again we can expect absolutely zero help from people in the next country we go into, which virtually guarantees failure.

Best bet seems to be finish training the military. We pull troops out QUIETLY as they become more capable, forcing them to take responsibility for defending their country. That way the terrorists can't declare victory and with every pullback we are seen as keeping our word, both at home and abroad. I think Bush's original plan was to establish large permanent bases in Iraq and close the bases in Saudi Arabia. IMHO that was an excellent plan for a number of reasons but it probably won't work now. He botched this up too badly.
