Rumsfeld should quit. Did you see him on Fox two weeks ago? It was an embarrassment. That stupid smiling arrogant sneer of his has grown very tired.
In NYC back in the 50s, Mayor Wagner ran against the party bosses for mayor--he literally ran against himself and won. Bush needs to run against his bosses or in his case run away from them. He needs some well respected folks in positions of power to have any chance of making whats left of Term #2 a success. Probably too late for that but still in the nations interest to do so and perhaps in iraqs also. We need to defuse the insurgency with dates for our departure. This is so clear to me and when this is broached its the same response that its just cut and run or or even worse it telegraphs to zarquawi to wait until we leave and then start again. What it really telegraphs is a message to iraqis everywhere that they will get their wish of the "foreign occupier" leaving but they will now be responsible for their own future which is the way it should be. If i were zarquawi this would worry me more than US disengagemnt encourages me. mike
