Manufacturing Technology of MH/Ni Battery from Zhongju Shenlai Reaches the Leading Level in China

(Dec.1,2005)

Recently, undertaken by Zhongju Shenlai Hi-Tech Co. Ltd, the important special project "Research and Manufacture for MH/Ni Power Battery and Power Sources System" has been checked and accepted, which was organized by Zhongshan Bureau of Science and Technology. The tests show that MH/Ni power battery can match with its power source control system very well, which can meet uses of whole vehicles and reach domestic leading level.
MH/Ni battery is listed in national ¡°863¡± projects and possesses strong competitive advantage in international market. MH/Ni battery is called ¡°Green Energy¡± with high energy, high power, large current discharge and no pollution. The expert group listened to the report, examined related documents from the project. They think that cycle life and consistency for MH/Ni battery are improved greatly through choice of high hydrogen storage alloy in high temperature and research on positive electrode with large capacity and negative electrode with high-rate discharge. 100Ah MH/Ni batteries from the project have been applied to Qirui EVs, which has been checked and accepted. 6.5Ah MH/Ni power batteries have been produced in small batches and tested in Changan HEVs, which meet requirements of the HEV running. American Ford Company are interested in the MH/Ni batteries, which are being tested according to standard of Ford Company.

The experts think that the project¡¯s task, target and plan are finished and wish it will be industrialized as soon as possible.

I don't know about royalties ?

Allen, thanks for your reply. I don't believe Advent is publicly traded and I wasn't really looking to invest in it. I was, however, trying to compare their product with ECD's.

Having owned my ECD stock for so long, I watch closely for the competition, that's all.
