Thanks for the kind words. My new role model is Bono from U2 by the way. He may be a leftist but he treats all folks with great respect while acting with modesty. And he gets things done, unlike the namecaller type in hollywood. I suspect the chris parsons and the lindy bills along with the rush limbaughs and michael moores will not change their stripes and continue to demonize any and all folks who disagree. I will not play that game any longer. It is harmful to something much bigger than even the war today--our national political life where words like bipartisan and mutual respect have lost their meanings. Mike

Bzzzt. Wrong. The Democratic party has already moved so far to the right that Republican Lieberman can actually call himself...a Democrat.

The rightward march of the US of A is a sign of great weakness. It's a sign of fear and the rest of the world knows it. We're substituting war profiteering for international competitiveness and fundamentalism for science. It's appalling.

When the Democratic party stands up for itself and calls the Bushies incompetents and liars, the Bush administration loses poll points.

The rightwing has been calling everyone else names 24/7 for 40 years. Like it or not, name calling is a powerful tool because IT WORKS. Remember flip-flopper? Remember Rove calling McCain a traitor, insane, married to a drug addict and father of an out of wedlock baby with a black prostitute?

Where did Rove's ugly tactics get him? He would be on the floor doubled up giggling like a baby if he knew everyone else was going to put on kid gloves against rightwingers.

Politics is ugly and always has been. Name calling has always been part of the process and always will be. This is why Senators have a tough time becoming President because they've spent too many years speaking diplomatic gobbledygook to each other.

This country is in big trouble and it's way past time to come out swinging.

>>"That's just not fair."<<

Oh BS... This michael generally posts nonsense and his so called "opinion" changes with the wind. And who is this group that you think needs potential voters such as this where is the wind blowing mikey?... "a new more moderate democratic party"??? That is what got the unAmerican Repugs led by this Bush idiot into the WH in the first place and kept him there. You are a fool.
