Steve, The parent notification laws on abortion are argued on the same grounds. We must allow all 14 year old girls to get an abortion without notifying their parents since we must write the law to allow a 14 year old girl to get an abortion at 3 o'clock in the morning because her parents cannot be located....

Or because her parents are abusive, and she's just having sex because of her low self-esteem ...

I already asked Amy what we should do with the abusive parents. Didn't get an answer, but then again, the answer isn't that easy. Neither is the answer to all of the unexpected pregnancies that happen thousands of times a day in this nation.

So what is abortion being sold as? The easy way out, a choice for a poor distraught woman who feels like she has no choice. Of course, it only costs the life of an unborn child, but we can make up for that by pretending it isn't a life in the first place.
