We should be keeping this in mind....most Katrina-area homeowners were given 3 months grace on mortgage payments....that time has now run out, and delinquencies should start to soar:

Just wondering....if a Katrina victim's mortgage loan has been securitized, can the originator or secondary buyer (CFC, FNM) allow endless restructuring? What does that do to the ultimate bagholder, errr, mortgage holder? Seems like these issues are about to be tested in a major way......and soon.
