that is exactly what is happening, even more so in the investment properties sector. The buyers are now gun shy and unwilling to pay the it-can-only-go-up-higher prices. The sellers are still dreaming.

Stalemate.

Who is going to blink first? That is going to be determined by the number of mustsells vs mustbuys. As you can imagine, there are not many reasons that someone MUST buy while there are many circumstances that forces someone to sell, either voluntarily or involuntarily.

I continue to opine that unlike previous real estate cycles, ill conceived financing programs of the last few years is going to create a surprising number of mustsells in the next few months and forward.
