Scrolling the list... I thought what ? no McGarrigles ?? but I kept on going... Lightfoot... Cockburn... Ellen McIllwaine, and Jesse Winchester wow.. I saw him in Montreal at my high school... I still play Yankee Lady :O)

Yes, I may have heard it before it was recorded too.

I always liked "Black Dog" off of that same album...
and "Biloxi" and "Skip Rope Song". Of course,
on a day like today, his song "Snow" might be
my favourite... (it's snowing here). <g>

A lot of interesting musicians used to play the
coffee houses at the high schools back around that time.
I think it was because a lot of the Montreal schools were
quite large for the time and were actually
good venues for attracting a decent-sized audience.
