You think you are free Red but you are not:

We're not here because we're free. We're here because we're not free. There is no escaping reason; no denying purpose. Because as we both know, without purpose, we would not exist.
It is purpose that created us.
Purpose that connects us.
Purpose that pulls us.
That guides us.
That drives us.
It is purpose that defines us.
Purpose that binds us.

I think many rightwingers are lazy and others are just frightened. It's easy to lead the lazy and scared around by the nose as they're always looking for someone else to do the thinking for them.

I think the rightwing turn of the US of A started decades ago and reached its fear mongering, fearful zenith after 911. If Americans weren't so worried about everything, they'd ditch the xenophobic, bigoted, fundamentalist call of the rightwing for the optimistic, populist, rational viewpoint of the progressives.
