"In the case of education the US has one other advantage- we allow the best foreign candidates to immigrate here and many are willing to do so. So it isn't the same as a flat "1 billion" vs. "300 million" argument. Valid point though"

This was my point a few posts ago. We're good as long as the grad students stay here. There are now good reasons for Chinese and Indian students to go back to their home countries. And, when China and India get their University system in good condition, the graduate student pipeline will shrink.
