I participated during those months and dispute most of the characterizations you've made. The Swift Boat veterans had every right to have their voices heard. That's what free speech is all about, allowing private citizens to participate and influence elections by using their free voice to speak. I found their online video's compelling.

Kerry was the one who brought his film, from his 50 pound camera he carried around in Vietnam for four months, to the convention, so he opened the door for the in-depth examination by others who also served.

What was despicable were the obvious biases from the liberal mainstream press who did everything they could to discredit the Swift Boat veterans, many of which had no party affiliation at all.

Watching the press fawning over Cindy Sheehan, while given almost zero press coverage to other parents who lost loved ones and profoundly disagree with her point of view, has only crystallized my understanding of the gross liberal bias in the media.

I hope in the future more citizens who care enough will band together and use the internet to have their voices heard, the way the Swift Boats did.
