Conservatives are more pro-business, and fight for corporations in the hope that 'trickle down' will keep them hydrated. Some conservatives fight to help businesses but many just fight to keep businesses from being attacked or having their wealth taken away. There is a big difference between supporting low taxes and a reasonable regulatory regime on one hand, and fighting for subsidies and handouts to companies. The latter has more to do with pork politics than it does with ideology. Pork cuts across all parties and most ideological groupings. Tim
