As far as foreign affairs goes, the responsible thing isn't necessarily what the public wants.

You're still not getting it. I'll make you a bet though. It doesn't matter who is in the White House or what public opinion says, when it comes to something like the Iranians developing an atomic bomb action will be taken. That's the way things work. What you don't understand is that once a President is in office he's got 2 priorities. Following the Constitution and safeguarding America. At times, even the Constitution takes a back seat to safeguarding America.

BTW what exactly is it that makes you think that Clinton was so beloved. Presidents that are riddled with scandals are hardly loved. What they are is impotent.....
