Yes. But people listen to the offshore promotion, under duress
you have no control over the funds and can not bring them back
etc.

The Judge nowadays says 'I think you CAN get the funds back,
just sit in jail until you remember how'. Don't work any more.

The way the USA is going lately, mebbe not being able to come
back is not such a loss. Did I say that ! ! ! !

That seems to be the only way it makes sense. I seriously doubt a US citizen who is a millionaire and has his family and business interests in this country goes through all that hassle and risk to hedge his bets on a house.. You play defense when you are well off<g>

I do believe there are a ton of new age RE investors with few if any assets who are playing that game though I bet they are expecting to become a millionaire and are not doing the IO/option ARM with zero equity game as a hedge. When you are poor looking for that home run you worry little about playing defense<g>
