But is does get those who are not Christians to come forward and illustrate their profound ignorance of so much history. So, where do you think the Christmas tree tradition came from? Perhaps a fir tree magically sprang up from under the manger in Bethlehem? It is all very amusing. It is amusing. At least it would be if it weren't getting so nasty. It's amusing to me that I post a sensible take by a conservative pundit on the extremism on both sides of this tempest in a teapot and I get a response more appropriate to a proposal to get rid of Christmas as a national holiday. The response just serves to illustrate the extremism. WWJD? Spend money? Good grief!
