I'm not as glum as you. I think the casualties ARE making a difference to Americans, and that's why Bush's numbers are in free fall. He says we're winning in Iraq, and the next day 10 Americans are killed and another 10 wounded, which just completely shows him as a liar. Americans ARE seeing that - it even made FOX News! Bush can't get away with the crap he spun after 9/11. Americans just aren't buying it anymore. That Iraq is making us LESS safe, not more, is penetrating the American psyche. Oh, I HAVE written my Senator and Congressman, but I live in Utah, so I might as well piss into the wind. I got some nice form letters back..
